Count My Wisdom Teeth! - 10:43 PM
In a slight break with tradition I'm going to do the "other news" bit before this week's speedruns. Why? Because I can!
- Pretty Balls has updated his profile. As far as I can see the only real change is to include his (admittedly very impressive) best times on e1m1, e2m1 and e3m1. DOn't you know vanity is one of the seven deadly sins, boy?? Oh well, you might as well go and break the rest now. :-)
- Be sure to check out the Bunny Comparison page so we've had some more amazing demos recently. Already the "Filthy Few" has become the "Filthy Several" and looking at the number of people with 8.0x and 8.1x it could soon become the "Filthy Quite A Lot".
- The Gibgate Complex contest is still ongoing. Remember that you have until Midnight CET, September 29th to get your entries in.
And now, the reason you all came here, the demos...
Thomas Bergendorff has gone absolutley mad this week in his quest to rid the tables of Optic's tablefiller demos. This includes taking Total Ownage of two levels.
- First, a level that hasn't actually got any table fillers on it at all, the ever popular arcane.
- He did the eighth improvement to the Easy Run, utilising some lovely smooth grenade boosts to get 1:19. One second faster.
- He then took the Nightmare Run, the only record he's never had in the past, by two seconds to 1:47. This map is a lot more deadly on Nightmare skill. (Which explains why he has never held the record before. For those that don't know him, Lowdis is, frankly, a bit of a sissy.)
- Next he reclaimed his Easy 100% from Justin by six seconds to 2:01.
- He then took T.O. of the level with this 2:32 Nightmare 100%, three seconds faster. Maybe I should take back my "sissy" comment... :-)
- Now it was time for him to attack a level I'd never actually played before, bnt2. And as it happens, none of these are tablefillers either. :-)
- He improved Justin's time for the Easy Run by three seconds using a different route. At first glance this struck me as a very run-unfriendly level as you basically have to run the whole level and press nearly 27000 buttons before you can exit. But after seeing some of the cool rocket-boosted bunnying around narrow twisty corridors I can see that it could be fun. 1:43.
- Next came the Easy 100% in 1:57, seven seconds faster. Much the same as the previous demo but with a few more kills.
- A five second improvement to the Nightmare Run gave him 2:10. There's loads more big monsters on nightmare skill making some ground clearance at the start inevitable.
- An a slightly messy (because he was drunk :-)) 3:07 Nightmare 100%, 12 seconds faster, gave him T.O. of this level too!
- On to the ravishingly eclectic scoop. Now these ARE tablefillers. :-)
- First a slightly dubious improvement to the Nightmare Run. Optic killed the spawn at the start, Thomas didn't. Optic missed the curly jump over the lift door THREE TIMES, Thomas did it first time. Optic took so much incidental monster damage that he had to stop for health and still didn't have enough to do the final rocket boost to the exit, Thomas had loads of health. Total time saving? Four seconds. *pfft* 1:40.
- This 2:00 four second improvemnet to the Easy 100% is much better. Although (and I don't want anyone to think I'm being over critical here) it's very obvious that if he'd shot the yellow armour secret door BEFORE fighting the fiend and rocket jumping up to it he would have saved one, maybe two, seconds. :-P
- Just to show that I can be a nice guy when I want to, this 2:27 Nightmare 100%, seven seconds faster than Justin, is actually quite good.
- BTW. I'm not actually sure what "eclectic" means but I love the sound of the word. :-)
Ensuring that Bergie doesn't have all the glory in this update we have Arturo Garcia Lasca improving his Easy 100% of pb1 by six seconds in this high quality 1:44. He made the saving using some very nice route tweaks that were suggested to him by.... Thomas Bergendorff!
We've had another entry to our LadyQuake contest on pagan. Alena Malikova has taken the Nightmare Run from Scion with a very impressive 0:10, equalling the Easy Run. Way to go, Bunny-girl! This contest will run for one more week before we open the map up to the guys so any ladies out there with should send their demos in before Tuesday 1st October. The Easy 100% is still unclaimed and, of course, now that the girls have proved they have the skillz we might see them taking some existing records or (hint hint) entering the new contest. :-)
Speaking of which, did you know we're having a new speedrunning contest? Well, we are. It's called The Gibgate Complex and it's really really fun. Honestly.
I'm sorry to go on in that embarrassingly crawly way but I've never organised a ROTW contest before and I'm really worried it'll be a disaster. I sometimes lie awake all night tossing and turning, mostly tossing if I'm honest[1], thinking about it.
Actually, that's not true. I just used it as an excuse to get a few masturbation references into the update because I don't think there's been enough lately. :-) But now that we have a female contingent reading these updates does it mean I'll have to clean up my act and stop the swearing and filth? Does it?
Does it FUCK! :-)

[1] For those of you who aren't aware "tossing" is a euphamism for, well, vigourously rubbing your love pole. You understand? Flogging the dolphin. Stretching the chicken's neck. Waving your magic wand. Basically, wanking.

New Contest! - 7:47 PM
Just a quick update to let you all know that due to popular demand I have started a new series of
Run Of The Whenever Speedrunning Contests that should run between now and (roughly) the end of November with the winning entries forming the basis for a nice little end of year present from us to you. See
here for the details.
The idea came from something that Tim Doherty and myself were messing around with some time ago so if you don't like it, blame him. ;-P
Good luck and happy gibbing!

Sniff The Fist. - 10:08 PM
Right you fuckers. Just because
Stubbz has taken a well deserved break from updating doesn't mean you're getting rid of
ME that easily. Mostly because I'm not on ICQ or IRC at the moment and I only check my mail every few days so it's really hard to find me to insult me. But even if you could it takes more than the low grade whining we get from the one or two people that can't seem to take a hint. Remember...
Morfans : Balls of steel!
And what that means is that I want to see more quality demos than ever before. And when I say quality I don't mean shit like me doing the Nightmare 100% of imp1sp2 in 3:54, I mean real quality like Weixing Ye improving the 100% records on em1 to 0:52 on both Easy and Nightmare skill.
You see, I don't think that the average skill level of the active runners has ever been higher. Sure, some of the all-time, truly great runners no longer submit demos regularly but with talent like Denis "I'll Hack Your Bollocks Off With A Rusty Razor Blade If You Ever Touch This Site Again" Nazarov taking total ownage of the_gate with these demos...
- He improved his Easy 100% by one second to 0:44.
- Then he beat Weixing's Nightmare 100% by four seconds to 0:45 in a slightly messy demo.
- Which he then tidied up the next day to 0:44
...the future still looks bright. And of course, as hard as you might try you will never, EVER be allowed to forget that somewhere out there is Arturo "Updating's Easy" Garcia Lasca, who has taken another record on pb1. This time he did the Nightmare 100% in 2:27, 10 seconds faster than Justin.
So just remember: Some things in this world are more important than politics, religion, life, love, family, work, peace, war, famine, death, pestilence or tuna. And the most important of all is Quake!
Sing praise to the Bunny God : I have seen the light!
See you next time.

You People Did It Again! - 9:59 PM
Wow, these past few days since I made the previous update has been eventful! I've been called a bunch of things, as well as attacked verbally, and what for? Because I posted a
FLAG in my update??? I mean, come on, it's just a flag for christs sake, it's not like I've made an unconditional vow to the United States! If I hadn't put a flag on SDA and just a note, then I'm pretty sure no-one would pay attention to it. "I" update this website, and therefore I'm entitled to do whatever I want with it! If I want to post a flag, then I'll post a flag, if I want to post naked pictures of celebrities, then I'll post naked pictures of celebrities! There's no deeper meaning behind it, sorry if you got that impression... And no, I'm certainly not trying to defend myself here, I'm just trying to convince people that there was no deeper meaning behind all this! But I must say that the flag had an effect, not the effect I had hoped for, but I don't think an update on SDA has caused so much anger and hatred before! I'm actually glad I did the update, it just shows how little insight and how ignorant people really are! All the arguments I've heard has been weak. And just so you know, the reason why I put the flag on SDA is NOT politically related in ANY way! Several people was under that impression for some odd reason!
As far as I'm concerned, then this will be the last update you'll see from me in a very long time. I've grown sick and tired of people doing nothing but bitch and complain. It happens rarely that I hear the word "thanks". It's more like "fuck off". Alot of those people who say that don't pay attention to the amount of work it requires to maintaining SDA, as easily portrayed in some of the threads on the message board.... And don't get me wrong, it's not the comments from the previous update that has excelled my decision to stay away from SDA for some time, it's merely the fact that people take everything for granted and they don't see the amount of work we put behind this. To be honest, all this complaining has pissed me off to such a degree where I just don't care anymore. I think the same thing happened with Nolan when he decided to stop updating SDA. I won't vanish completely though, I'll still be around helping Morfans and lodis whenever I can, but don't expect me to update SDA or host another ROTW Championship. That just won't happen, sorry!
I won't reveal the names of those responsible for my decision, but I think you know who you are. I just hope for your sake that you don't treat Morfans and lodis the same way you did with me. It's just not worth the effort to do this anymore for me, I get less out of it than I gain. And let me just clear out any misunderstanding: It's not because of what happened with my previous update that I've decided to keep a low profile for a while, it's a mix of alot of things which has happened during the period I've been updating SDA. I've worked so hard maintaining this site, and I've gotten so little in return. I hope you can respect and understand that.
So, I guess my prophesy in the previous update came true after all! All good things must indeed come to an end...
Bye...

All Good Things Must Come To An End.... - 11:42 PM
I had originally made another headline for this update, but it caused quite a roar in our IRC channel, so I changed it. Feel free to interpret the new one anyway you like! I'm leaving the flag though...
We haven't received any demos since last update....

Hungarian Hullabaloo - 3:07 PM
The Hungarian Coop Duo also known as
Attila Csernyik and
Peter Horvath has done the utterly impossible! They've improved their own Easy Run of
The Installation by 1
FAT second to get
0:05!! This must be absolute optimum! I refuse to believe this can be done any faster, but please go ahead and prove me wrong! This coop demo definately deserves a
MUST DOWNLOAD.
The next demo is actually just as good, with the slight difference that it's a single player demo courtesy of Jozsef the Hungarian Hurdler, and we all know what that means, right? Yes we fucking diddle-li-do (Flanders rip-off), another piece of speedrunning art by the Bunny God himself. This time he ravaged his own Easy 100% of Gloom Keep by 1 second to get 0:46! How did he do it you ask? Well, my lips are sealed, but I can promise you're in for a treat! And the fact that Joe included a little nifty program that let's you change the intermission view, and that the quality of this demo is so damn good, I give this one a MUST DOWNLOAD too!
There's only three demos left in this update, and they're all from Arturo 'Fuck Doll' Garcia. He launched an assault on pb1, first doing the Nightmare Run 1 second faster than himself to get 0:35, and then the Easy 100% 2 seconds faster than Marlo to get 1:54, but two days later he improved that even further by 4 seconds to get 1:50. Very nice!
Assorted news bits:
- ix-swoop from Team Ixion will be releasing a new version of his speedrunning site dedicated to CTF captures. Check it out at www.teamixion.com/captured. If you're not the speedrunning type and prefer to trickjump, he hosts a trickjumping competition at www.teamixion.com. I also added his site to our links section, and to my horror I got notified that we hadn't a link for Ill Mind Moves in our links section! How did we forget? Sorry Ingmar...
- The Nolans 2002 demo page continues to be updated every time we do an update here on SDA, so if you're eager to see in what categories you might have a chance of winning a Nolan, then go ahead and have a peek. Personally I've made plans for what categories I wanna have a chance in, and no, I'm not gonna tell you what my plans are, you'll just have to wait and see... :)

The Bergendorff Massacre! - 11:31 PM
This update will be very un-wordy (does such a word exist?) and very short. I'm tired and I can't think of a whole lot to write, so bear with me will ya...
Thomas Bergendorff shows no mercy and continues his bashing upon Justin. This time he took seven of his demos, but I'm almost convinced we haven't seen the end of the Bergendorff Massacre yet! Stay tuned for more...
- He pummeled his way through blister with this Easy 100% in 1:06, 2 seconds faster than Justin. He did the Easy 100% of blister2 as well with this 1:38, 11 seconds faster.
- Two of Justin's crypt demos went down too. First the Easy 100% 1:37, 14 seconds faster and then the Nightmare 100% in 1:41, 9 seconds faster.
- The next map that stood for fall was m_palace. He managed to improve 3 of Justin's demos, starting with the Easy 100% which he did in 1:14, 1 second faster, then the Nightmare Run in 1:07, 2 seconds faster and finally the Nightmare 100% in 1:57, 15 seconds faster.
Demos
not from Bergie...
- Robert Axelsson never ceases to amaze us with his 'Boss' demos! This time he did an outstanding Nightmare Run on hipend, improving Amrik's record by 3 seconds to get 0:30! I was really surprised to see how he pulled off the 3 second improvement. MUST DOWNLOAD
- This next map is extremely odd and not suited for speedrunning at all in my opinion, but it didn't stop Daniel Hansson from improving Carl-Johan's previous Easy Run of darknite by 4 seconds to get 1:23.
- And finally, but not least we have another female demo, this time from Evelyn 'Scion' Morgan. She improved Rebecca's Easy Run of pagan by 4 seconds to get 0:10.
Also, there's a new batch of
Bunny Comparison demos up. There's some really nice demos in between, so I suggest you check 'em out.
UPDATE: Just noticed over on pq.com that there's a new version of Scourge done Slick released!
- Here's the scoop: Today on Machinima.com they feature the Quake done Quick team's speedrun Machinima movie rendered with new coding to give the film a cartoon feel! There are three download flavours to choose from of varying sizes. Check it out here for a fun blast from the past!

Cellphones are EVIL! - 12:33 PM
Oh boy oh boy, you're certainly in for a treat today! Nothing less than
4 id records, with one of them being a marathon, and then there's the
Lady Quakers competition demos of course!
Let's kick it off with the man who has no respect for id records (unless he ownz the records himself that is!), Mr. Jozsef Szalontai.
- First to fall was Peter's old Nightmare Run of The Ogre Citadel. Joe adapted the Easy Run route and tackled this level in 0:37, which is 1 second faster than Peter. He then turned his attention to the Nightmare Run of The Palace Of Hate which he did in 0:20, 1 second faster than himself. And last to fall was Markus's Nightmare Run of The Pain Maze. I'm not sure where he saved the time actually, but it's a fact that he did this 2 seconds faster to get 0:45. All demos are of course MUST DOWNLOAD! (I dunno 'bout you guys, but I think we've had quite a few must downloads recently, not that that is a bad thing of course!).
This update sees the return of
Daniel Magnusson who has once again swung his mighty weaponry in
Dimension Of The Doomed. He improved his previous marathon by 12 seconds. Most of the time was saved in e1m6 which was the key to getting the time under 12 minutes. New time is
11:59.
Ok, here's what you've been craving to see... The Lady Quakers Contest!
- The first demos we received was from the lovely Rebecca Axelsson, sister to the Axelsson brothers. She gave the Easy Run of pagan a go with this 0:14. Elisabeth Johansson (dunno if she has any relation to any of the Swedes speedrunning fellas) was unfortunately a bit too late with her 0:17. I've included the demo in the big .dz though for all of you to see. Rebecca also had a go at the Nightmare Run, which she did in 0:13, 1 second faster than the Easy Run. Way to go girl! But it wasn't long before Evelyn 'Scion' Morgan entered the competition with this 0:11. Anyone got the guts to do 0:10, Jube? :) And the only 100% we've received so far is the Nightmare 100% which Scion did in 0:50. The Easy 100% is still up for grabs....
Let's turn our attention to the rest of the demos:
- Amrik Kochhar did the Easy Run of dazsp2 in 0:26, 1 second faster than Kimmo. He also did the Easy Run of black3 in 1:10, 1 second faster than Justin.
- Robert also had a go at one of the Black levels, bfinal to be exact. He improved his own Nightmare Run by 1 second to get 0:30.
- The man we've all come to love and admire as the man with the smelliest AND prettiest balls in the speedrunning community, Mr. Jonny 'Pretty Balls' Andersson did the Easy Run of pb2 in 0:21, 1 second faster than Justin.
- Denis Nazarov did the only Easy 100% of this update. He blasted his way through the_gate, 8 seconds faster than Hansson to get a time of 0:46.
- And our final demo in this update is from Rutger Baks who tackled the Easy Run of tfl in fine style with this 1:04, 6 seconds faster than Robert.
Morfans is in the middle of moving house these days, so wish him the best of luck. He'll be on a shitty modem from now on, but he has promised to still make updates for SDA (thank God!).
Oh, and in case you're wondering about the headline. I bought a new cellphone (the old one had seen better days) two days ago and I still have no fucking clue how it works! Why can't manuals just not be easy to understand? I guess I'm just too oldschool for this shit...

Salute To Stubbz: We Are Not Worthy! - 7:28 PM
It's been a long, long time since one person has owned all four single player records on an
Id map. In fact, I can't even remember when it might have been. Perhaps
Ilkka back in 1998? Or
Nolan back in 1997? Whatever, it's a very rare occurrence indeed. So it gives me great pleasure to announce that
Thomas Stubgaard has improved Attila's Easy Run of
The Haunted Halls by one second to
0:43 which gives him total ownage of this incredibly hard level! If you see him around, buy him a beer; he deserves it.
MUST DOWNLOAD
The ladies competition we started in the last update is (thankfully) already getting some attention. Within a few days of the announcement hitting the news we have had "I'll give it a try" responses from several fragrant killers and even a few demos! Scion started things off with the Easy Run and Nightmare 100% and Rebecca Axelsson has had a try at the Easy and Nightmare Runs. Once we receive a couple more demos we'll start a page to compare all the entrant's best times and give links to the demos, or something like that. Keep them coming!
The demos on the recently added maps have become a real battle ground in the last few days, starting with the Nightmare 100% of theledge. Up until now Ken has had it pretty Easy but now Weixing Ye has destroyed his record by six seconds to 0:34. When Ken found out he was not at all happy and has sworn to try and take it back. He'll have to be very lucky though...
The 100%s on the_gate saw a fight to the death between Weixing and Daniel Hansson
- The Easy 100% went to Daniel whose 0:54 arrived some hours before OpenGL's best effort.
- It was the same story on the Nightmare 100% when Daniel improved my tablefiller by eleven seconds to 0:51. The best OpenGL could manage at this point in time was 0:53.
- But then a few days later Weixing took the record by two more seconds to 0:49. I think there's probably one or two more seconds to wring out of this route and who knows what other tricks and routes there are to be found so hopefully it's not over yet.
It was a similar scrap for the 100%s on em1. When we left this map at the end of last update Daniel held the Easy 100% with a 1:03.
- This fell to a new route from Weixing by five seconds to 0:58.
- Daniel fought back with another two seconds to 0:56.
- But Weixing would not be denied, and this 0:53 has some nice moves in it such as the work around the gold key and the imtermission (just) enforcer kill. :-)
- It was a little more cut and dried on the Nightmare 100%. Weixing started things off with a 0:56 and Daniel's rather poor 1:08 came in just before Weixing improved his own time by three seconds to 0:53.
- Finally, Daniel dragged in newcomer Pär Josefsson to do the Easy 100% in 0:45. Not bad at all for a first record.
Improving his imp1sp2 Easy Run by yet another second is Rutger Baks. Even smother than before and with that lovely little slope jump to exit. :-) 0:54.
Finishing off this update is the man who seems to be working on taking every single non-bunny RDE record, Carl Tholin. This week he has taken two more...
- Jordi's Nightmare Run of rd1m3 took a two second hammering to 0:50. Check out his cool grenade placement for the jump at the gold key. Who needs a grenade placer when you can bounce 'em like this?
- He then spent some time beating Marlo's Easy 100% Marathon through the whole of rde by exactly two minutes to 11:52. He then very kindly let Thomas and myself spend a couple of hours sorting out the mess he'd made of the demo file. Lucky we're such a nice couple of guys or we would have made him record the whole thing again. :-)

Fast Women or
My Ass Becomed Dropsical - 10:03 PM
Before we examine the latest harvest of demos we have one more new map to add to the archive, but this one is slightly different; most of you reading this are not allowed to submit demos for it!
If that sounds a little strange then relax. All will be explained.
The map is called pagan and is available from here or here. It's a small, fairly straight forward map that doesn't require any spectacular tricks to get a reasonable time on but has the potential for loads of boosts should you wish to try and optimise it. Now here's the catch: for the next few weeks we will only be accepting demos on this map from female speedrunners. That's right, the time has come for the LadyQuakers to show us their skillz (and show us that they exist)! All four normal categories, Easy Run, Nightmare Run, Easy 100% and Nightmare 100%, are open so put your best running bra on and go for it!
The exact time that this map will be limited to girls only will depend upon the response and feedback we get. It will probably be between two and four weeks. Demos will be posted in the normal SDA manner and once we decide that the competition is closed the winners will be announced and all entries will be listed up for everyone to admire. If the response is good then the map will be opened up to everyone and a new ladies only map will be released. So send us some feedback if you like the idea and want it to continue, even if you don't enter this time or like this map.
All your demos should be named pag_xxx, if you have any difficulties with demo recording or sending (jeez this sounds patronising, sorry) click on the Site Info tag on the left, mail us or come and ask in #qdq on quakenet.
Just to make sure everyone is absolutely clear on the rules here. You have to be female to enter. Wearing women's clothing (eg. Carl), lacking any noticable external genitalia (eg. Amrik) or speaking in a girly voice (eg. Ken) is not good enough. If you are in any doubt, count your chromosomes: if you have XX you can submit demos; if you have XY then you cannot.
And now, on with the demos...
If I told you that someone had improved a record on The Haunted Halls I'm sure you could guess who it was. There's only one man lunatic enough to tackle a hoard of ogres armed only with an axe and that's Thomas Stubgaard. He didn't just improve his previous record, he destroyed it by eight seconds to 0:59. MUST DOWNLOAD
Jozsef Szalontai kindly pointed out that Markus, Peter and Attila all got 0:10 in the Easy Run of csa when the competition on that map was running. That should be pretty unbeatable then, shouldn't it? Shouldn't it? I'm sure you can all guess what's coming. Joe did a 0:09. :-)
Joe also improved his Nightmare Run by one second to 0:11. Both these runs are, I think, optimised.
The last two days has seen people take a little more time over their demos on the new maps, and it's really shown....
Demos on theledge
- Showing us all how it should be done is, once again, Joe who has improved Denn's Easy run by one second to 0:14.
- Soon afterwards Denis Nazarov did the Nightmare Run in the same way, also in 0:14. These guys scare me. :-)
- Our first 100% demo on any new map was this Easy 100% in 0:55 from Rutger Baks. It is most certainly a table filler. :-)
- And it lasted about ten minutes before Arturo Garcia Lasca waded in with this 0:45.
- Which he soon improved to 0:41 with tidier play.
- And finally he used the same route for the Nightmare 100% and beat his Easy 100% time by one second getting this 0:40.
Demos on the_gate
- Daniel Hansson recovered his wits after his humiliation defeat for the Easy Run at the hands of Amrik and improved the record by one second to 0:25.
- But Denn made a couple of changes to the route (including a rocket jump off a fish!!) to improve the record by two more seconds to 0:23. Outstanding.
- Because of the different position of the 100 Health on Nightmare skill Denn was able to do the Nightmare Run even faster. 0:22. Five seconds faster than Amrik.
- And just to prove that it's actually possible to make bad demos on this level I have done the Nightmare 100% in 1:04.
- We also received an Easy Run from Carl Tholin but it was too late and too slow to make it onto the tables. It did have some nice ideas for small route tweaks in it which might inspire someone to do a 0:22. It's therefore ironic and annoying that you're not going to be able to see it.
SDA : Ironic and annoying..... or your money back!
Demos on imp1sp2
- Rutger improved Amrik's Easy Run by one second to 0:59 by having cleaner balls.
- He then realised that if you catch it just right you only actually need one vore ball to do the jump and that, along with generally cleaner play, allowed him to make another four second improvement to 0:55. Good to see you back, Rutger.
Demos errr, I mean Demo on em1
- After running away with the records for both runs in the last update DanielH turned his attention to the Easy 100% and made a damn good start with this 1:03. I particularly liked the looong quadded RJ around the outside of the map. :-)
That's all for now, sorry if you tried to download any new demos for the first couple of hours after the last update was posted. I'm afraid I made a little mistake which meant they were unavailable. Thanks to Stubbz for fixing it so promptly. :-)
Now get running!

Rippin' At The Carcass. - 10:29 PM
Here we are less than 24 hours after the new maps were added and already we have a clutch of new demos of various qualities. But before we take a look at them we've got two submissions on established maps.
Arturo Garcia Lasca didn't agree with Daniel owning the whole of frbdbase so he improved the Nightmare 100% by one second to 0:43, taking it to within one second of the Easy 100%.
Next up is a demo that I just knew we would see one day and I've been waiting expectantly for months for it to arrive. The only mystery was whether it would be Joe or Valeriy that did the Easy 100% of zippie_sda in 0:13. As it turned out it was Jozsef Szalontai. If this isn't optimum I'll shave my testicles. MUST DOWNLOAD
And now, on to the demos on the new maps.
Daniel Hansson did both of the runs on em1 within an hour of it being announced. The Easy Run in 0:15 and the Nightmare Run in 0:16. Honourable mentions go to Denis Nazarov and Weixing Ye who also submitted both runs. Denn's were exactly the same time as Daniel's but came in a few hours later. Smells like an optimisation race might be coming...
Daniel "Ripping Sheets" Andersson opened the batting on imp1sp2 with an Easy Run in 1:11. But Amrik "Big Pink Vore Balls" Kochhar took a different approach and improved that to 1:00.
Amrik also did some impressive runs on the_gate.
- He quickly found what looks to be the most direct route and did the Easy Run in 0:27. DanielH also submitted a demo but it was much, much slower than this. So slow that I'm too embarrassed to even tell you what it was. It's so bad that even my attempt at this map was two seconds faster. But he was still ten seconds faster than Lodis when he first tried the level. :-)
- The 0:27 table filler wasn't good enough for him so he improved it by one more second to 0:26. Very nice.
- And then did the Nightmare Run in 0:27.
Moving out onto theledge...
- First Jonny Andersson sprayed his scent on the Easy Run, wiping out Thomas's odour by one second to 0:17.
- But the overpowering stench of Denis Nazarov carried the record off with a two second improvement to 0:15.
- Denn also did 0:15 for the Nightmare Run, four seconds faster than Thomas. Optimum? Maybe not, but it's very close I think.
That's it for tonight. There'll be another round up of new map demos on Wednesday if you're lucky and if anyone's done any by then. There will also hopefully be another little announcement of a fresh piece of fun, SDA stylee, that we haven't got a name for yet but probably won't be calling "Speed Bumps".
All demos download is available here (UK) and here (Denmark). Sorry if you've had trouble getting the UK download to work for the last two updates but Mr Stubgaard had a little trouble using cut and paste and somehow managed to get extraneous characters in the URL. *TSCH*

Two updates in one day??? - 10:55 PM
What's the world coming to? Next you'll tell me that
Morfans is shagging a donkey
and
Stubby has taken a liking to men and wearing underwear on his head?
Oh wait, that's actually true...well in that perspective two updates
in a day doesn't quite sound so mad.
Now let's cut the crap and get straight to what this update is all about:
NEW MAPS!!!
Yes, you heard me, but let me repeat myself for those blind PB-wannabes out there:
WE HAVE NEW MAPS ON SDA!!!
(while we are on the topic of maps:
Jesse, finish that damned map you
silly dutch prostitute.
[1])
I suppose we better get down to business so you can try to be the first to optimize the runs.
We start with The Ledge. It's a small map and to get you started I have taken the liberty of doing
the runs: easy run in 0:18 and the nightmare in 0:19. Name your demos tl_xxx.
The next map is The Wherehouse, which is another short map. Since you all like small maps I'll be expecting quite a few
demos on this one. Name your demos em1_xxx.
The third map we are adding this time is House of Spikes.
It has very nice design, and while we're talking design I want to share with you a few lines from IRC
that came about when the two of us and Stubby were discussing the merits of this map.
Morfans: imp1sp2 is okay for a long map
lodis: yeah, it's good design anyway
lodis: ('cept for the pic of fern)
Morfans: even if there's a picture of fern in the secret
I don't know about you but I thought that was hilarious. Me and Morfy are apparently on the same
wavelength (a VERY disturbing thought). I wonder what the hell the author(Biff_Debris) thought when he added a pic of Fern to the map.
Here's a review at TeamShamblers.
Name your demos imp2_xxx.
The last map of this update is The Gate.
Name your demos tg_xxx.
Start running!!!
Right. I better stop doing this update now before I end up insulting even more runners (Will, since you
are 1-0 up on me I refrained from writing anything silly about you. You still suck though.)
[1] We actually like Jesse even if it doesn't seem like it. In fact he's so popular we receive
fanmail every day from runners (hi Martin!) who want naked pics of Jesse. Stubby is happy to oblige
as he has the biggest archive of GAY PORN on SDA (Ken came close second with Daniel Hansson on 3rd place).

Isn't Life Grand? - 7:12 PM
Following on from my previous update, we have the two Hungarians,
Jozsef and
Attila showing off yet again with
9 new coop demos!
- To start with the ID demos, they did both e1m5 runs. First to fall was Robert and Rickard's Easy Run which they improved by 1 second to get 0:12. Optimized? The Nightmare Run was more or less the same deal, 1 second faster than the Axelsson's with this 0:13.
- Equalling the Easy Run of e2m1, they did this mind-bobbling Nightmare Run in 0:06, 1 second faster than Attila and Peter. As they say in their text file: "Another cool demo today". Well, personally I think all their demos are pretty damn kewl, I dunno about you? :-)
- Moving on to bbelief4, they did the Easy Run in 0:17 which is 1 second faster than Joe's single player record and 1 second faster than Ilkka and Will's previous record.
- Seems like they had a good time on the jzblue levels. They did the Easy 100% of jzblue_2 in 0:09, 2 seconds faster than Nolan and Justin, and the Nightmare 100% in 0:15, new to the tables.
- It's been quite some time since we had any demos on the hipnotic levels. They slaughtered Ilkka and Juho's Easy Run of hip1m1 by 2 seconds to get 0:15.
- And they improved Ilkka and Matti's Easy Run of hip1m2 by 2 seconds to get 0:11.
- The last demo we get to see from this new coop couple is the very first coop on close. Somehow they managed to do the Easy 100% in 0:08, 2 seconds faster than Joe's single player record! You have to check out the last rocket kill!
Daniel "The Doll Fucker" Hansson has claimed total ownage of
frbdbase.
- He improved his own Easy Run by 1 second to get 0:32. Following on from there he improved Arturo's Nightmare Run too, also by 1 second to get 0:33.
- The 100%'s stood for fall as well. He improved Arturo's Easy 100% by 2 seconds to get 0:42. He says in his text file that he thinks this isn't possible to improve! Someone prove him wrong please :-) And finally he improved Fuck Doll's... erhm, I mean Arturo's Nightmare 100% by 1 second to claim total ownage with this 0:44. Way to go Daniel!
I haven't been able to play Quake for more than a week due to a mouse failure and what not, but now I'm back in business, and what better way to show it than by doing the Easy 100% of
The Axe Map in
1:28, 1 second faster than my previous record. Chop chop chop....
Amrik Kochhar hasn't been idle either. He improved Kimmo's Easy Run of dazsp2b by 3 seconds to get 0:57. Very nice demo!
I stumbled over this article while browsing machinima. I hadn't read it before. Quite an interresting read!

Hungarian Coop Mayhem, Demo Madness &
Assorted Tidbits - 6:47 PM
Ok folks, I've prolonged this update long enough! The main reason for this is that
Jozsef the Almighty has been visiting
Attila the Hun for the past three days, and the result of that meeting is an amazing amount of high quality coops! In fact,
every demo they did are nothing less than a masterpiece (very colorful words I know, but still true...), so I suggest you check all of them out, pronto! And they are all
MUST DOWNLOADS of course.
- Somehow they managed to avoid the Ogres in e1m6 and equalled the Easy Run with this 0:08. The jump at the end has to be performed in total darkness, which doesn't make it any easier!
- According to the .txt file they say that "this is our first coop demo, so it's bad quality as other first demos"! My reply to that is BULLSHIT! :) Easy Run of e2m5 in 0:18.
- One of my favorite maps and one of the hardest to perfect in Quake. We're talking about e3m7 of course! They improved the Easy Run by three whole seconds to get 0:40. Martin and I tried this one too when he visited me and we couldn't even get close to the old record :)
- Now on to e4m1 where they really had to work for it. They equalled the Easy Run by doing a really slick and optimized demo. Nightmare Run in 0:15.
- Moving on to e4m5. They totally ravaged Timo and Alex's Easy Run by doing some masterful boosts and bunnies! 0:09. Seems like Peter had a little saying in this demo... And of course they couldn't leave the Nightmare Run alone. 0:09.
- One of my favorite demos in this update! A one second improvement over Martin and Anders' Easy Run of bbelief3 in 0:29.
- I think it's safe to say that this record is optimised! Two perfectly placed boosts was all it took. Easy Run of bbelief7 in 0:06.
- One does the killing, the other one the running. That's the formula behind this jaw dripping Easy 100% of jzblue_1. They did it 2 seconds faster than Robert and Rebecca. 0:12.
- Wow, this is what coops is all about. Total mayhem and lots of luck! A rippingly fast Easy 100% of jzblue_3 in the blistering time of 0:12. I'm amazed!
- I don't understand how this is possible, neither do Joe or Attila, but it seems like Peter had the explanation... IT'S LUCK! Well, go see for yourself. Nightmare Run of csa in 0:11.
Our own IRC channel basher,
Mr. Bergendorff continues to slaughter Justin's Mexx records.
- Bergie actually reminds me a bit of the good old Flecker. He's good at doing custom records in a limited amount of time, and that's exactly what he did with this Easy 100% of mexx3 which he did in 2:24.
- His Nightmare 100% is just a tad better in my opinion though, for two main reasons. The first one being that it's a Nightmare 100%, hence more monsters and more gore. Secondly because of the way he desperately tries to whack the Fiends at the end with his quadded grenades, but they simply step out of the way whenever he tried to bring them down. Very cool indeed :) 3:35.
- His assault on the Mexx maps brought him to mexx4 which he did in 1:22. Here's what he had to say in his .txt file "how come Justin's demos look pretty crappy and are still damn good? It's annoying..."
Everybody's favorite doll,
Arturo "Ken The FUCK DOLL" Garcia Lasca has been at it too.
- First to fall was all the deso records. Starting off with the Easy Run which he improved by 1 second to get 0:44. The Nightmare Run got more or less the same treatment. 0:44. Also 1 second faster than Dan.
- The 100%'s didn't last long either. Easy 100% in 1:28, 4 seconds faster than Bergie, and Nightmare 100% in 1:28 as well, 2 seconds faster than Bergie.
- Scared of losing his beloved record to Bergie, he improved his Easy 100% of mexx2 by 2 seconds to get 0:26. Very nice demo, but there's still room for improvement.
- He improved Justin's Nightmare Run of tspe by 1 second to get 0:26.
The rest of the squad...
- Jonny 'Pretty Balls' Andersson wouldn't sit back and let Bergie snatch all the glory on the Mexx levels. He took his own record back by improving the Easy Run of mexx3 by one fat second using the new trick that Bergie invented to get 1:07.
- Carl Tholin still dwells in the past when RDE was non-bunny only. He ripped Ilkka's Easy Run of rd1m4 apart with this very slick 0:30.
- Having done the Easy Run, why not take the Nightmare Run too, and so he did. rd1m4 in 0:45.
- It's been quite some time since a custom record got a Must Download, and this is one of those few worthy of that title. Joe delivered a really sweet demo by improving his own Easy Run of rettear by 3 seconds to get 0:49. MUST DOWNLOAD.
- And final demo of the evening comes from Daniel Hansson who has improved his Easy 100% of e3m5 again!. Seems like Joe taught him how to get out of the water fast and that enabled him to get one second faster. 1:23.
On to the tidbits...
A team consisting of two Swedes has made their very own QdQ production. It's not fully up to the current QdQ standards, but it's definitely well worth a look. It's faster than the old Rabbit Run, and that must count for something, right? So please give a big applause to Oskar "Kodden" Calson and Magnus "Dale" Olsson who has created QKDspeed. You can get the .dz version from here and the .zip version from here.
We've (i.e. I have) already started to work on next years Nolans, in order to make it better, bigger and badder! But we would still like to get some input from you: What categories should we have this year? Which ones should we remove? How do you want the presentation to take place? Also, a thing we didn't do last year (we were too lazy and it would have been too much hard work), was to make a list of ALL demos made that year. It was quite hard to figure out what demos to pick, and let alone to remember when they were posted on SDA. So I've made a list of all demos this year so far (been doing it since the very first update this year), and it should enable you guys to pick out what demos should win alot easier. You can check out the list here. So don't hold back folks, give us your comments/ideas. Send them to stubgaard.
Also, we're thinking about a new name for the Windlash (cheated) page. It has to include the words naked and cheating, but you are allowed to twist the words a little, like 'nekkid obsessions with cheaters'.... Send your ideas to me as well.
Phew, this has to be the longest update I've ever done! I'm off, ENJOY!
All demos download is available here (UK) and here (Denmark).

The True Definition Of A Freak or
Attack Of The Swedes Pt III - 1:58 AM
Hey there everyone. It's time once again to lay before you the fruits of the speedrunning communities labours. And this time
EVERY demo comes from a Swedish runner!
But before we get to the demos I'd like to take a moment to explain to you why it's been over a week since the last demo update. Now, I'm not one to complain, never have been, but my life at the moment is at such a ridiculously busy stage that something had to slip, and unfortunately it's been the update. For those that don't know I'm in the process of moving house, which means trying to arrange for my family, farm and all our possessions to be shipped from the south of England to the north of Scotland. On top of that work has been busier than at any time in the last two years. This has meant that although I've been writing this update for the last four days I've only just had a chance to finish it now.
Luckily, most of the arrangements for the move are now complete and so I'm free once again to spend some time at the ol' PC. And it's warmed my heart to find such understanding and encouragement as this message I reveived earlier on ICQ...(name anonamised to avoid embarrassment)
K*n: (9:32 PM) What the FUCK is going on with the updates!?
Brings a lump to the throat to know you're appreciated, eh? ;-)
However, what this does mean is that in two weeks time I will disappear from the face of the Earth for two weeks. After that it will be business as normal. During this time the World's Greatest Viking Sex Machine, Stubbz, will be servicing all your demo update needs. Gawd bless 'im.
And now, on with the shit that you came here to see!
Carl Tholin and Johan Nilsson have done one more coop. You can tell they're getting cocky when they start beating Attila and Peter records by two seconds, like they did here for the Easy Run of rd1m3. 0:27. They were also kind enough to send us this picture, proving that Deliverance was not just a film, it's alive and well and taking place in Uddevalla...
Carl : You ain't from around these parts, are you boy?
Rolle : Drop them pretty little pants, boy. I'm gunna make you squeal like a pig.
Carl : Go on Rolle, do 'im. *hyck hyck hyck*
Hansson : SQUEEEEEAAAAALLL
Carl : Where's my banjo?
Da-da-dang-dang-dang-dang-dang-dang-dang.[1]
Rickard Axelsson continues to impress. This week he improved both of Optic's 100% demos on the quirky but fun bub2. He took three seconds off of the Easy 100% to get 0:33 and two seconds off of the Nightmare 100% to 0:35. Good use of "the slate", fella!
Rickard then managed to drag Robert Axelsson off of Elin long enough to record five nifty demos.
- They recaptured their Nightmare Run record on commctr back from the two guys above by staying fairly sober while doing this 0:34.
- They then beat Martin and Thomas's recent record for the Easy Run of Ziggurat Vertigo by one second to 0:23.
- Next they did two rip-snorting Easy Run Marathon through Id episodes. These babies kick arse!
- Then it was back to phuckin' wit' de Udders as they improved Carl and Johan's very recent rd1m4 Easy Run by one second to 0:31.
Robert and Rickard also possed up with Alexander Lindgren to repeat the trick they used in the Easy Run of Satan's Dark Delight and use it in the Nightmare 100%. 0:32.
Thomas Bergendorff has gone on a killing spree with a load of Optic's old records as his target. I have to say that he's made a pretty damn impressive start...
- He began with the 100%s of deso. The Easy 100% fell very quickly by eight seconds to 1:32.
- The Nightmare 100% fell by an even greater amount, nine seconds faster than the Fleckah giving him 1:30.
- Then, since he already owns the Nightmare 100%, he decided to take the tspe Easy 100% from Optic as well. And it really was a big old improvement: fouteen seconds to 0:58.
- Justin's rettear records were the next to fall starting with the Easy 100%, nineteen seconds faster at 1:55.
- And then the Nightmare 100% in 2:31, seven seconds faster.
- He then took a break from Optic-bashing and decided to improved Jonny's Easy run of mexx3, not because he has anything against Pretty-Balls (Okay, he does. But that's beside the point. In fact he absolutely detests him. I once asked him "Would you rather be hoofed in the plums by a donkey every ten minutes for a week or spend five minutes in a locked room with Jonny?". Immediately he replied "Bring on the donkey!") but because he came up with a neat new trick to get over the bars in the first room. It's not actually much quicker than pressing the button but it looks good and that's the important thing. 1:08, one second faster.
- And since Big Justin held the record for the Nightmare Run he thought he'd take that too. Good grenade boosting (and some nice dodging) gave him a five second improvement to 1:12.
Carl also teamed up with the evil smelling but frighteningly potent Jonny Andersson.
- A really long intermission grenade kill from P-B helped them to produce a truly nasty Easy 100% of rd1m2 in 0:43, four seconds faster than Evan and Cameron.
- They also did the Easy 100% of The Grizzly Grotto in 0:44, one second faster than Jonny and his previous
sexual coop partner DanielH.
SDA : Because it's worth it! :-)

What's The Opposite Of Up And Down? - 9:42 PM
Do you know what I think? I Think it's always nice to start the update with an
Id improvement from
Jozsef Szalontai. So let's get right on and see what he's been doing to the Easy Run of
The Wizard's Manse. It shouldn't be possible to improve his old record using the same route, but he has still managed to to take the time down by one more second to
0:26. Check out his .txt file; he's even started pimping his demos for next years
Nolans, and there's still half a year to go!
Not many people, if they're having a bad day at work, can just flick a switch and destroy half the northern hemisphere. So let's just hope that Dan "noo-clear" Stukanev stays in a good mood. So if you happen to see him, tell him how much you liked his Nightmare Run of deso in 0:45, one second faster than Fabian.
Rickard Axelsson did this Easy 100% of hotel after the coops below, so he was already well lubed up for this run. He beat Marlo's record by one second to 0:39.
But by far the best single player demo of this update is by Me. I recaptured my Nightmare 100% of terror from Weixing by fifteen seconds to 2:16. Sorry about having to use coop 2 in this demo but it was really getting on my nerves when the sound was cutting in and out due to the uber-overflow. :-)
More Mad-Coop LANage from Elin Mårtensson and some guys. (I think it was Robert Axelsson, Peter Abrahamsson, Alexander Lindgren and Rickard Axelsson).
- They destroyed the MP-Crew (whoever they were) five-player Easy 100% of hotel by four seconds using some great team work and some nice boosting of the key-carrier (Robert). 0:22.
- Then came the Nightmare 100%, two seconds faster than the MP record. 0:27
- And to finish off Robert, Alexander and Rickard used an obvious but neat trick to do the Easy Run of Satan's Dark Delight in 0:27, twelve seconds faster than the 2P run.
Carl Tholin and Johan Nilsson have sent in six simply smashing (and one fairly rubbish) coop demos. Mostly done on original RDE levels.
- They started off at a nice gentle pace on rd1m1 where they did the Easy 100% four seconds faster than Ilkka and Juho. 0:45. Not bad at all.
- With that demo done, they were nicely warmed up to attempt to take Daniel and Jonny's rd1m2 Easy Run from them. They made it look easy with this 0:19 two second improvement. WATCH THIS DEMO. I'm not going to say which bit to look out for, you'll know it when you see it. :-)
- Next they had a go at filling the empty slot in the tables for the rd1m3 Nightmare 100% and settled on this 1:38. (SP time 2:29.)
- Moving on to rd1m4, they produced two outstanding demos, first the Easy Run in 0:32, seven seconds faster than Robert and Alexander. Smoooth.
- And then they did a full ten second improvement of Ilkka and Juho-Jussi's Easy 100%. 0:55. It could have been even faster but they kept screwing around. Stop screwing around you couple of screw arounds. You're always screwing around. Don't you realise that this is a serious business??
- Just time for one more demo before they went out for the evening, not suprisingly it was on rdend. They (i.e. Carl) beat Ilkka and Juho's time for the Easy Run by two seconds to 1:07.
- When they returned, several hours and many drinks later, they tried for one last record before crashing out. It's on commctr, it's a Nightmare Run, it's a bit messy, but it's still one second faster than Robert and Rickard. 0:35
Who is the greatest Udder coop duo? Carl and Johan or Daniel and Daniel. Personally, I think it's just too close to call. As for which pair would win a stand up, square go, shirts off, in the car park fight, consider this: We all know that Carl fights like a pussy, but Rolle has been known to knock grown men to the floor using just his musky, masculine scent. You wouldn't think that Ash would be able to stand against that for long, with only his fake tattoo to defend himself with, but never underestimate the power of Dark Hansson. Who would win? Fucked if I know. (Or care.)
Before you drift away make sure you check out the latest Bunny Comparison demos. There's a whole bunch of new demos including Timo moving up to second place in the 100M, and Anders, Snoop and Stubbz rrrrriiiping up some mappage in fine style.
Enjoy the demos or make me your enemy: your choice! ;-)

RotW, Mini-Speedcon And More Chicks-On-Speed. - 9:42 PM
Howdy 5p33d phr43k5, casual runners, regular viewers and people that have clicked on this site by accident. Before we get down and dirty with the new demos I'd just like to repeat what
Stubbz said in yesterdays update.
THERE'S A NEW "RUN OF THE WHENEVER" COMPETITION UP!!!
Not only is it a fun map to run on (with a bizarre, yet hilarious, name) but it's also the final contest on our Championship Ladder, and with eighty points at stake there is still everything to play for! So no matter what your skill level is be sure to have a try and send your entries in. Thomas and the various mappers (I'm not going to list them here in case I forget one) have put a lot of time and effort into these contests and I think we've all had a lot of fun with them. So say a big thank-you by making this the best attended contest of the series! And now, on to the serious stuff...
There have been rumours floating around that the world of speedrunning is far too misogynistic, but how can that be when this week we have two new players losing their speedrunning virginity and they're both BABES! So in order to honour this momentous day the rest of this update will experience a gender reversal.
Enough with the talk! On with the demos! We've had four more Id improvements from three of the hottest Quake b1atches around!
- Miss Jozsefina Szalontai has been shimmying around in The Underearth and managed to improve her Nightmare run by one more second to 0:34.
- Miss Daniella Hansson has done yet another one second improvement to her Wind Tunnels Easy 100%. She has threatened that she has some ideas for new tricks so I don't think this 1:24 will be her last.
- Daniella also did a much better Easy 100% demo of The Elder God Shrine than the rather lacklustre demo we saw two weeks ago. Smoother play at the graveyard, clean kills at the gold key and an extra quadded gren boost make this 1:24 four seconds faster than her previous record.
- Be sure to watch this totally mad carnagefest from the Mistress of the Nightmare 100%, Miss Thomas "Lipstick Killa" Stubgaard. She decided to see if the route she found for the Qd100Qwav run on The Palace of Hate was possible on a from scratch run. It seems that it's not only possible but seven seconds faster! 3:21.
We've also received five demos on custom levels from some fine, fine ladies.
- Miss Anderea Nordensten takes total ownage of disgrace with this 0:39 Easy Run, two seconds faster than DanielL. You can tell by watching that she's the kind of girl that just loves to dominate.
- It is said that there are only two types of Russian women. The first type, as typified by "Sensual" Dan Stukanev, are the tall, beautiful, long haired goddesses that you find on the "Buy Yourself A Russian Bride" websites. The kind of girl that would do the Easy Run of deso in 0:45, one second faster than Fabian.
- The second, as typified by Denise "Pussycat" Nazarov, are the seven foot tall, barrel chested, big bearded, olympic shot-putters that look like they could rip your testicles up through your throat. The kind of women, in fact, that could beat Dan's ih1m4 Easy Run by five seconds to 0:22.
- Returning to Hansson The High Heeled Hopper, she ran shreiking through jdungeon, yelling "help, help, the monsters are after me!" and managed to exit in 0:26, two seconds faster than Ilkka. It would only have been one second faster but she got a rather lucky, and very cool, ogre chainsaw boost.
- The final SP demo for this update comes from me. I improved my Nightmare 100% Marathon of the dazsp2 levels by a huge forty-two seconds, which shows how bad my original was. :-) This took the time down to 4:52, which I feel compelled to call "The McGary Time". If anyone can explain this link back to my childhood then I will not only award them the usual prize, a pint next time I see them, but I'll also buy them a kebab afterwards!
On to the coops. This last weekend saw the event that will forever be know as "Mini-Speedcon 2002" since everyone is too busy or too poor to get together for a proper Speedcon this year. Miss Martina Selinus visited the boudoir of Lady Stubbz and together they made some sweet, sweet love demos. I'm going to have to keep the descriptions short for them because I'm running out of time due to having spent most of the day coming up with female equivalents for everyone's name. All the demos are of the standard you would expect when two of the greatest exponents of our art get together, so watch the fuckers.
- They did the Easy Run of Ziggurat Vertigo in 0:24, one second faster than Martin and her previous coop partner Anders. Ohhhh. I hope she scratches your eyes out!
- Then The Underearth rocked to the sound of them beating Evan and Justin's Easy 100% record by five seconds to 1:10.
- One demo I thought they probably would do was the Easy 100% of The Vaults of Zin. Martin reprised his route from the last two demos with Robin, except this time he was even faster! One second faster, in fact. 0:33.
- Next they did a scorching run through The Tomb of Terror which spanked the buttocks of DanielH and Jonny's Easy 100% by three seconds to 0:42.
- It's only been a few weeks since Robert and Rickard took the Easy 100% of Satan's Dark Delight and already it's been improved by two seconds. Coops on this map kick arse and this 0:54 is a pure pleasure to watch, but I can't help thinking it should have been one second faster... :-)
- Another demo I was really hoping they'd do, and they did, was the Easy 100% of The Palace of Hate. Not suprisingly they beat Ilkka and Juho-Jussi's previous record by a good amount. 1:21, 13 seconds faster.
- And of course there was no way they weren't going to use the new Shub Niggurath's Pit lightning trick to massively improve Valeriy and Andrey's Easy 100%. This they managed by sixty-two seconds to 0:52.
Doing a brilliant and totally mad five player Easy 100% of Gloom Keep we have Alexandra "Sweet Cheeks" Lindgren, Ravishing Rickard Axelsson, Roberta "Pert" Axelsson, Patricia "The Stripper" Abrahamsson and introducing for the first time ever here on SDA, please welcome Roberta's girlfriend Elin "Testosterone" Mårtensson! Being the only bloke there Elin ended up doing most of the work in this 0:22 while the girls just ran around trying to find a mirror to do their makeup in.
Back to Daniella Hansson for our last set of demos. He was having a sleep over at Danni "Menstral Fury" Andersson's house, talking away into the small hours about nail varnish and boys and stuff, when Danni's brother Jonna Andersson, the only real Andersson man, burst in. Once they had stopped screeching they all decided to do some coop.
- For Jonna's first ever demo they decided to do the Easy 100% of jdungeon, which they did in 0:37. His framerate has to be seen to be believed, it has to be one of the worst in the whole history of the archive. :-)
- Then Jonna had to leave to go drink some beer, swear and watch football with his buddies, or something, so the girls took the opportunity to do two more coops.
- They improved their Easy 100% of jdungeon by five seconds to 0:39.
- And they also did the Easy 100% of fatal-error in 1:12, two seconds faster than Hansson and Eckers.
That's all for this time. Normal service will be resumed next time....
...Probably.
All demos download is available here (UK) and here (Denmark).

Don't Make Me Break My Foot Off In Yer Ass! - 5:02 PM
It's that time of month again, it's time for the
final, yes you heard right, the
FINAL Run Of The Whenever contest of the
Championship! This is your absolute final chance to secure some valuable
championship points. Given the fact that I've been in a really good mood lately (it's probably all them beers), I've decided to let you have nothing less than
4 disciplines this time, all with
20 points maximum each! That means a total of
80 champ points will be available if you are able to get first in all 4 disciplines, and a whoopping
840 champ points in total! :)
Thanks a bunch to Daniel Hansson who came to my rescue. I've turned down quite a few maps he has sent me, not that the maps weren't good, I just wanted the final ROTW contest to be on a really nice map that I'd like myself. So, thanks for all your efforts Daniel, you're a true hero :)
I know it's a bit misleading that this contest is #12 and it says '9th SDA Championship Contest' on the contest page, but that's because we started to name the contests like c1, c2 and so on before the championship began, and we simply just continued with the number we were at when the champ contests started. I'll promise to sort it all out when the Championship has ended and make it more user friendly.
A demo update should be due tomorrow. Depends on how busy Richard will be with moving house and all. Martin Selinus visited me during the weekend, and we made a bunch of coops. Stay tuned for that.
Enjoy!
